The project "To the flavor of the folklore tico", was born to promote and conserve the three most representative traditions of Aserrí: dance, music and masquerade, as well as highlight the figure and work of people, who marked the area and the country culturally.

 

It ran from February 18 to August 12, 2017 and covered the seven districts of the Canton: Aserrí, Salitrillos, Tarbaca, Vuelta de Jorco, Monterrey, La Legua, San Gabriel, as well as the neighborhoods: Las Mercedes and Barrio Corazón de Jesus (both from the Central district).

 

"To the flavor of the folklore tico" was beneficiary of the Program PROARTES of the Popular Theater Melico Salazar and of the Ministry of Culture and Youth.
